I am Scott Beach, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 16 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked in several different areas, including private and state-run psychiatric hospitals with adults and children, as an outpatient therapist for a community mental health child and family program, and in a hospital emergency room to help assess individuals who might need hospitalization. These enriching experiences have allowed me to develop competency in treating a broad range of clients with diverse mental health and substance use issues.
The skills and experience I bring to a counseling relationship help me meet people where they are, assist them in assessing what they are doing well and what they want to change, and help them find ways to make those changes. I use different counseling techniques tailored to each client's needs.
I enjoy working with young persons and families, as well as with people who are dealing with trauma and challenging issues.
