In our sessions we will explore the shadow self, fears, shame and guilt, how to be more genuinely yourself and to have a safe space to share your voice to help you be seen. I use recreational art in counseling to help us see things with a new perspective or work out emotions in a different way through colors, images, writing and storytelling. Everyone has their own unique experiences which I intend to use to empower the client as well as being an ally and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. I’m also here to support you through religious trauma and embracing your individual thoughts on spirituality or none at all!
My approach to wholistic therapy is based in humanistic and person centered practices. This looks like focusing on all of your inner experiences and yourself in mind, body and spirit and in our connections to other people. Also using practices of meditation and grounding in nature. And looking at how the brain can sometimes get stuck and how to break free.
