My ideal clients are individuals who are ready for a therapeutic relationship built on authenticity, trust, and collaboration. They may not have all the answers—and they don’t need to. What they do have is a willingness to show up as they are, even if that means uncertain, overwhelmed, guarded, or simply tired of carrying everything alone. These clients value a space where they can be met without judgment, without pressure, and without the expectation to perform. They are people who sense that something in their life needs to shift—patterns, relationships, emotional burdens, or internal narratives—but they’re unsure how to begin.

Do you often feel misunderstood, as though no matter how hard you try, you cannot seem to get it right? You may feel stuck in patterns that make progress at work, in relationships, or within yourself feel out of reach. Perhaps you are carrying the weight of pleasing others, feeling unappreciated, overwhelmed, or disconnected from your own needs. You are not broken, and you do not have to continue prioritizing everyone else’s well-being at the expense of your own.

When we struggle with mental health, relational issues and/or substance use/misuse, it is easy to feel inadequate and wonder if things will ever get better. In-person in a calming, cozy office located in Camden, SC and virtual sessions, allowing therapy from the comfort of your own home.
Life is messy. Brains are weird. Often your anxiety is the loudest person in the room, even when no one else is talking. I'm not here to fix you because you're not broken. I'm here to help you untangle the hard stuff, celebrate the wins (even the tiny ones), and laugh when life gets a little weird. I work with kids, teens, and adults, and I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation: honest, supportive, and judgment-free. Show up exactly as you are and I’ll meet you there. If you're looking for someone who is compassionate, down-to-earth, and ready to meet you exactly where you are without judgment then I'm here for you.

You're often the capable one — the person everyone leans on, holding everything together for everyone but yourself. From the outside it looks handled. Inside, you may be anxious, worn thin, or still carrying something from the past that hasn't loosened its grip — running on willpower and caffeine, bracing for the next thing. Maybe you're a student, or in the early, uncertain years of building a career and an adult life, and the weight feels heavier than anyone realizes. You don't have to do it alone. Together, we'll work toward a life that feels steady from the inside out — not just managed.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
