Hello, My name is Robert Luciano, LISW-CP. I work with many issues ranging from substance use to trauma. I work with people from all demographics, and I am very down-to-earth in my approach to therapy. I focus on the client's specific needs and how I can help them begin to heal or move forward. I utilize treatments such as CBT, Solution-Focused, and EMDR for those dealing with trauma-related problems. I also make myself as available as possible to make people feel welcome.

Many of my clients are Law Enforcement, First Responders, Active Military, and Veterans who have been reluctant to begin therapy. My areas of specialty are anxiety & depression, trauma, alcohol/substance use, dual-diagnosis, and addressing the issues that result from these problems such as interpersonal and relationship issues, self esteem issues, and overall poor coping skills. Hi! My name is Megan Townsend and I am so glad you decided to take this step for yourself. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Dr. Tommy Vaughn. I earned my Masters in Counseling and Clinical Rehabilitation through the University of South Carolina in 2023. I have experience working with adolescents and adults in an addictions counseling agency, as well as 7+ years working directly with adolescents.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Counselor. I received my Doctoral Degree in Behavioral Health from Arizona State University and my Master’s Degree in Counseling from Webster University.

I have over 30 years experience in the mental health field. I have extensive knowledge and experience working with people suffering from anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, OCD, trauma, PTSD, domestic violence, complicated grief and relationship issues. For 17 years I have worked in a day treatment program where I provided individual, group and family counseling targeting clients suffering with range of issues from ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorders, physical/sexual abuse and substance abuse. Only Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Self-Pay with South Carolina residents.

I solely work with clients experiencing addiction disorders, their families, and co-occurring mental health. I offer virtual sessions for NC residents and am in-network with Aetna (NC Only). I offer virtual and in-person sessions for SC residents and can discuss insurance benefits on a case-by-case basis. I do not accept BCBS of SC. I also enjoy assisting other professionals by providing clinical supervision in North Carolina (CADC, LCAS-A, LCAS) and South Carolina (AADC, LAC). Sport and Performance Coaching and Mentoring are available.

At Carolina Health & Recovery we provide a wealth of services but really focus to specialize in a few. Our society lives in a “doc in the box” and a “program” treatment world.
