I'm a certified EMDR therapist by EMDRIA. I use this approach to help adult survivors of emotional, physical and/or sexual trauma. I specialize in treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Grief, and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). My passion is to help you break through the emotional blocks that are negatively influencing your present thoughts and emotions, and keeping you from living a fulfilling life.

I became interested in helping individuals and families attain their dreams at a very early age. In my therapy, I accept and appreciate your uniqueness and am personally encouraged by the discoveries you make during your time in therapy. I provide compassion, empathy, and a down-to-earth approach to ease any discomfort you may have about therapy. Through our work together, I become sensitive to your needs and your readiness for change and will encourage you to discover your full potential.

She received her Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Dowling College in New York. Ms. Bedell has over five years of counseling experience working in various settings with children, adolescents, adults, and families.

I became a social worker for two reasons; I have a natural propensity to talk with people therapeutically and I enjoy helping people. Traditionally, social workers help people to get where they want to go in their lives and assist them in becoming more resourceful in dealing with stresses in their life. I provide supportive counseling, which assists in the process of clients leaning how to support themselves and offer them the tools they need to become more proficient at navigating the environment we live in.

I have 15 years of clinical experience as a psychotherapist. I received both my Master's degree and Continued Advanced Graduate Study Degree in Counseling Psychology from Cambridge College. I am also certified as a cognitive behavioral therapist from Boston University School of Social Work.
