I obtained a National Certification as a Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT) and I am a Veteran of the U.
Experiencing a breakup, divorce, grief, traumatic experiences, military lifestyle challenges, parenting/co-parenting struggles, and women's issues can make one feel anxious, sad, overwhelmed, angry, stressed, hopeless, or alone. Life's challenges do not only impact us individually, but can also have an impact on those we love most, which may need outside support to heal and grow from. Whether you are looking for individual counseling for yourself or relationship/marriage counseling for you and your partner, we can work together to identify the barriers and support you in living a more fulfilling life.

As a former Division I athlete who has faced many setbacks, I strongly believe in the power of asking for help. My past experiences recovering from the mental and physical components of athletic injury motivate me to help individuals fight their own mental battles. I will work alongside you to better understand your struggles while using CBT, DBT, and strength-based approaches to allow you to make change at your own pace. In our work together, we will identify your personal values and motivators to help achieve your goals.

I use a blend of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, cognitive, and emotion-based strength-based approaches to personalize what each client needs.
www.tidestherapy.com- Overcoming your trauma, depression/anxiety, and communication issues is possible. You can also learn to look safely inward and like what you see. I'm not the typical "talk therapist." I use an in-the-moment approach to help you learn to honor yourself and become more authentic in every situation. Whether it's boundaries, self-love, or more confidence you need, I believe everyone can develop qualities they want if they apply effort in a non-judgmental, secure environment. I offer unconditional positive regard for my clients because I believe they are they expert in their story so we can collaborate.

Times are tough, people aren’t. The world is changing and pressures seem to be coming from all sides, creating a sense of chaos. This stress and frustration, sometimes added to preexisting feelings of anxiety, fear, anger and depression has taken a toll on all of us. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you discover nonproductive patterns and learn how to navigate the road toward acceptance, love, awareness, forgiveness, and recovery. I work with you to discover a better path forward, believing that this is a lifelong journey that enables us to appreciate the mountaintop experiences, and to cope with the valleys.

I am also trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) informed practices and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).
As a therapist, it is my job to help you understand, discover, and define your story. Our stories create narratives and paradigms that we choose to live by as truth – but not all stories tell truth. Some stories tell lies, distorted truths, and suppress what’s true altogether. I want to untangle your story with you, help you find the truths and light pieces, and gift it back to you in a way that gives you the freedom to live your most authentic life, with vulnerability and courage. With my background in trauma, mood disorders, personality disorders and spiritual counseling, I hope to help you live your best story.

I specialized and use evidence based treatments that include EMDR, DBT, CBT and ART.
Life's to short to feel misery, right? I help clients find paths that nurture and grow parts of the self that can enhance one’s experience of life to be fulfilling and whole. People come to me wanting to find out why their life is not satisfying and what can be done to work towards that goal. Often times we get stuck in life situations that block creativity and paths to self defined success. Goals often include happiness, pain relief (physical, mental, spiritual, emotional), self-awareness, productivity, insight, improved, healthy relationships and finding contentment in life.

I work within a cognitive behavioral framework and thus believe that the power of our thoughts directly affect our feelings and behaviors.
After any stressful or distressing event such as being diagnosed with a chronic illness, losing a loved one, or going through a divorce, life as we know it changes instantly. The life we once knew, or dreamed about, is suddenly shattered, which can leave us feeling anxious, depressed, angry, or downright hopeless. Although we may find ourselves on a new life journey, one we didn’t ask for by the way, who says this new path can’t be a path worth walking down? If we can accept this possibility then we open the door for hope and a new reality that can hold space for both pain and happiness, sorrow and joy, anxiety and peace.
