I specialize in trauma recovery, depression/anxiety, attachment, and
self esteem
issues.
When we experience chaos and difficulty in our external worlds, our internal worlds often match the everyday crises we have “learned to live with”. Leading us to feel frustrated, confused, alone, and wishing there was a way out. What if I told you another path was possible? That instead of merely “getting by”, or masking your pain, that you could tap into resources to live a more confident and Self lead life? You deserve a space to explore the things that just are causing you frustration, without fear of judgement.

I believe that we live in challenging times. Many people find it difficult to feel confident and self assured, have peaceful, fulfilling relationships, navigate the demands of finances, family, work and home, and also focus on nourishing self care. These challenges are interconnected. They are related to how we have developed our sense of self in the context of family expectations and experiences, societal demands, cultural assumptions, and media influence. It is necessary for all of us to learn how to live our best lives in these particular circumstances. You are not alone.

A kind word or advice from friends and family doesn't seem to help anymore. Your prayers even seem to have fallen on deaf ears. If this sounds familiar you are in the right place at the right time. I am here to help. Fear, dread, loss, and hopelessness do not have to take over your life. There is hope for you.

Get 1st appointment booked within a week - now accepting new clients (ind or couples). My two niches are Enneagram and couples therapy. You may be trying to find a sense of who you are, as you struggle with patterns of emotional and/or relationship distress. Or perhaps you are a couple whose relationship feels disconnected, and you’re wondering if loving connection can be found again. Whether you are trying to find “wholeness” as an individual or in your relationship, I’d love to help in your journey. Some of the emotional issues I work with include
self esteem
(self identity), anxiety, depression, and life transitions/adjustment.

Making a choice to embark on a journey towards healing takes courage. Talking to someone about infidelity, sex, and addiction takes even more. These topics can cause isolation, shame, and hopelessness, whether it's love and relationship issues, infidelity, pornography addictions, or sexually compulsive behaviors. Additionally, partners, spouses, or family members may experience trauma, grief, or isolation caused by these behaviors. There is hope and a path that can lead to a healthy and fulfilling life, leading to inner peace and understanding.

Maybe you feel like you’ve tried everything, and nothing works. Maybe you don’t even know where to start. Perhaps you’re experiencing pressure from your teens’ teacher, your partner, your work, your family or yourself to make changes, to get better, to BE better. It’s easy to lose perspective and hope when life hands us challenges we feel ill equipped to overcome. My practice works to integrate care for the mind, heart, and body. Therapy does not seek perfection, yet it can provide guidance, validation, and space to define your own goals to increase a positive sense of well-being and daily satisfaction

Self Esteem Therapists
When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?
When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.
What are the signs of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.
What causes low self-esteem?
Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.
How can therapy improve self-esteem?
Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
