When people ask what I do as a counselor, I tell them I turn people's lights on. That gets some rather curious looks, but then I explain everyone has an inner light, the potential to shine from within. Some of us, though, we need to discover how to turn our light on. So, I help my clients discover that critical most important part of themselves. They discover purpose and passion, the things that drive inner happiness and provide renewing energy and optimism. And although for some there are obstacles—stress, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, other people—we work through them all to develop a mindset of inner strength and vision.
