I typically work with individuals navigating anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem challenges, and major life transitions.
I am a licensed clinical social worker in South Carolina. I am the owner and founder of The Healing Hub LLC. I am partnering with Rula to provide therapy to clients using insurance, making mental health support more accessible and affordable. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, inviting space—one where you feel seen, heard, and supported as you work through life’s challenges. My goal is to create a warm and empowering environment where healing can unfold naturally, much like a conversation with a trusted friend.

From the outside, you look capable. You manage a career, a household, relationships, and countless invisible responsibilities. People rely on you. You get things done. But internally? You feel overwhelmed, irritable, stretched thin, or like you’re constantly falling short. Maybe your patience disappears faster than you’d like. Maybe your mood shifts around your cycle. Maybe you replay conversations at night wondering if you handled things “wrong.” You’re competent... but you’re exhausted. I specialize in working with high-achieving women and mothers who are used to being the strong one.

Finding peace with your body and your relationship with food is possible. I’m here to support you in feeling more confident and comfortable in your own skin. My work is rooted in a non-diet, Health at Every Size approach, recognizing that health is not one-size-fits-all. Messages from society can be limiting—and often harmful—to overall well-being. That’s why I take an individualized approach with each client, tailoring our work together to best support your unique needs.

Life is a journey. It doesn't always happen the way we plan, does it? We are often challenged by stressors we feel overwhelmed by, such as job stress, relationships, a grim diagnosis, loss of a loved one or trauma. Any one of these things can trigger anxiety or depression. I encourage you to take the lead in your therapy, to help you overcome whatever is holding you back from living your life to the fullest.

I help guide clients in improving communication, conflict resolution, self-confidence & vulnerability.
Life is filled with highs and lows, moments of clarity, and times of uncertainty. Through my own experiences navigating challenges, I’ve discovered the profound strength that emerges from adversity and built my practice on the pillars of vulnerability, emotional intelligence and post-traumatic growth. I am a firm believer in the power of personal growth and the importance of prioritizing mental wellness to lead a fulfilling life as holistic approaches are integrated. My approach is rooted in empathy, competence, genuine connection, providing accountability and emotional support while encouraging others to do things scared.

Self Esteem Therapists
When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?
When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.

What are the signs of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.

What causes low self-esteem?
Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.

How can therapy improve self-esteem?
Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
