I help with anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship, and major life changes.
You’re ready for something to change. Anxiety and stress make everything feel overwhelming. You’re tired of feeling misunderstood, of keeping it all together on the outside while running on empty inside. Maybe you’re managing a chronic illness that no one sees, or juggling motherhood, and professional roles without space to breathe. You’re always “on,” always needed, but rarely supported. You don’t want to feel so stretched thin or disconnected anymore. You’re ready to feel more like you again!

With nearly a decade of experience in human services I treat individuals (18+), couples & families navigating depression, anxiety, aging, LGBTQ+ challenges, life transitions, low self-esteem, trauma & many other life issues.
I applaud you for confronting pain when hurting most. Struggling with the daily trials of anxiety, loss, depression & life’s challenges of untreated mental health issues can create a version of ourselves that we no longer recognize. Unwanted moods, loss of motivation, emotional instability, & chronic mental/physical health conditions are all consequences of unsupported mental illness. These battles are debilitating and I hope to offer you relief to prevent another day of pain. You are the expert of your life, and I am eager to learn what it takes to assist you in expanding self-understanding, self-empowerment and personal goals.

Life doesn't have to be in crisis to feel overwhelming. If lately, the world feels heavier, louder, & faster. You might not be looking for a diagnosis; you might just be looking for a place to lay your burdens down. I believe therapy isn't just for 'fixing' what is broken; it’s a dedicated space to process the weight of being human in a difficult time. My approach isn't about gathering the pieces; it's about intervening so you can embody the skills to navigate your life without falling apart. My approach meets you as a person, not a patient. Together, we’ll navigate the exhaustion and the quiet burnout to help you find your footing.

I specialize in working with woman; especially women of color; who appears confident but silently battles anxiety, self-doubt, and exhaustion from navigating spaces where she feels unseen. She’s weighed down by perfectionism and unresolved wounds, longing for peace and authenticity. She needs a safe, nonjudgmental space to take off the mask, tools to manage anxiety, and permission to prioritize her well-being. Her goal is to feel whole, reclaim her voice, and live unapologetically. She seeks therapy not because she’s broken, but because she’s ready to break free and thrive. Please schedule with me directly on my website.

FAQ - About Couples Therapy
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
