Here at Uncomfortably Comfy, we work with people who are holding it all together on the outside while feeling stuck, exhausted, disconnected, or overwhelmed inside. Maybe the same fights keep happening, communication feels impossible, anxiety is running the show, or old coping patterns that once helped you survive are now keeping you trapped. We support couples, families, teens, adults, and neurodivergent clients with compassionate, practical, research-informed care. Together, we slow things down, make sense of the patterns, build tools that actually fit your life, and lean into the discomfort where real change and healing begin.

Challenge Your Self. The most important liberty is the freedom to be one’s authentic self. Often we trade in what’s real for role-play, theatrical performances we believe to be more appealing and entertaining to public audiences. We construct false narratives and get lost in the melodramatic portrayals. Psychotherapy increases self-awareness by broadening personal perspectives & creating progressive solutions to regain a sense of self. By removing the social mask and being more accepting of the work needed for personal transformation, we rewrite our stories.

Regardless of what life challenges brought you here, I believe you already possess the inner wisdom needed to heal. Many of us enter adulthood burdened by challenging memories, chronic stress, or generational patterns that feel impossible to break. Whether you are navigating the heavy echoes of complex trauma, grief, addiction, or the confusing aftermath of narcissistic abuse, you don't have to carry it alone. Therapy, in my practice, is a dedicated process of letting go of what no longer serves you so you can awaken your truest essence and reclaim your story.

From the outside, you look capable. You manage a career, a household, relationships, and countless invisible responsibilities. People rely on you. You get things done.
But internally? You feel overwhelmed, irritable, stretched thin, or like you’re constantly falling short. Maybe your patience disappears faster than you’d like. Maybe your mood shifts around your cycle. Maybe you replay conversations at night wondering if you handled things “wrong.”
You’re competent... but you’re exhausted.
I specialize in working with high-achieving women and mothers who are used to being the strong one.

Relationships are hard, but they're also so important. Maybe you've been up all night wondering if your relationship is worth saving. Maybe you're going through the motions with your spouse or partner and wondering why you feel isolated. Maybe you're enjoying your kids but wondering why you feel so alone once they're asleep and it's just you and your spouse together. That deep sense of isolation makes you wonder if you're the problem.

You’ve been grappling with the aftermath of a toxic or traumatic relationship that left you questioning everything about yourself. The process of breaking free, or even reflecting on the recent escape, feels like an emotional whirlwind. You feel vulnerable and uncertain because the trust you once had in yourself and others has been shattered. Sometimes you even question if you were with a narcissist, or if it was YOU. Beacuse of this, you’re unsure of who you are and what you want. It’s as if the very core of your identity has been upended, and rebuilding that sense of self seems daunting.

All of us deserve to savor what life has to offer to the fullest extent possible. Many experience that journey as compromised by difficult transitions or painful circumstances in their lives, threatening to rob them of their joy. These blockages may come from events in the present such as loss of a loved one or a deteriorating relationship; or they may result from earlier events that have left wounds/scars unhealed. We provide individual, group, and family sessions to help create awareness and understanding of how to get back to 'Me'. We explore issues and allow clients to choose to heal mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.
How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.
Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.
What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
