Whatever brought you to this space, I'm glad you’re here :). I often work with individuals who are struggling with attachment issues, complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, relational conflict, people-pleasing, codependency, shame, grief, and identity struggles. I work especially well with those who feel emotionally overwhelmed, unseen, anxious in relationships, disconnected from themselves, or caught in patterns of conflict avoidance and fear of abandonment.

We'll use methods like Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method to guide our process.
You’re in a relationship that feels stuck, lonely, or tense—even though you still care deeply. You may be caught in the same arguments, feeling emotionally distant, or navigating sex that has gone quiet, confusing, or painful. You want relief, clarity, and a way back to feeling close again. You’ve probably tried talking a bit, reading the books, or waiting it out, and nothing’s shifted. You’re ready for focused, honest help that goes beyond coping and actually creates change.

Life can be hard and just "raggedy" at times. I know and I get it. For some, reaching out for help is the last thing you may want to do but I would love to walk with you on your journey to healing. Would you believe me if I told you that the answers you are seeking are already within you? I will merely be your guide and safe place to allow you to discover these answers. There is so much more in store for you versus the current narrative you have been rehearsing to yourself.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. Imagine what it would feel like to finally set down the weight you’ve been carrying and take a deep breath. In our work together, you’ll find a space where it’s safe to pause, reflect, and begin moving toward real change. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions—but you don’t need to fit a label to belong here. Many of my clients have tried therapy before and left feeling like they only learned surface-level skills without seeing results. I vowed not to be that kind of therapist.

I do this by utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches including Somatic Experiencing (SE), CBT, Mindfulness, Strengths-Based, and the Gottman Method, all while looking through a trauma-informed lens.
My experience ranges from providing services to individuals, couples, and families coming from different walks of life and backgrounds that come into session with an array of concerns, including anxiety, depression, life changes, family/relationship concerns and trauma. Understanding that everyone has different needs and concerns, my goal is to provide a culturally informed focus that empowers my clients. As a second-generation Muslim-American, I fully understands the importance of providing a safe and comfortable space for members of my community seeking wellness and mental health resources.

Gottman Method Therapists
How does the Gottman method work?
One of the core doctrines of the Gottman method is that negative emotions hurt relationships about five times more than positive emotions help them. Thus, couples require five times more positive interactions than negative interactions with each other. The therapist will guide clients on how to improve communication and understanding of each other to manage conflict and have their emotional needs met. The therapist will also advise couples on how to repair relations with each other when conflict arises, and therefore avoid lasting damage.

Is the Gottman method evidence-based?
Yes, this method is an evidence-based approach to couples therapy. The method is based on more than 40 years of research by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, the psychologists who developed the method. The Gottmans analyzed decades of data to draw conclusions about what types of interactions are likely to lead to specific results, and which interventions are most likely to lead to success. Studies have found that this approach leads to improvements in relationship satisfaction, intimacy, communication skills, and a lower rate of divorce.

How long does the Gottman method take?
The duration of treatment depends on the specific challenges clients face. Sessions are typically 60 to 90 minutes long, and an average course of treatment is around 10 sessions. In some cases, such as for couples dealing with a critical problem, the therapist will suggest an intensive course of treatment, with daily sessions over the first two to four days. Treatment is complete when the couple is satisfied and has met the goals they’ve set, and when the therapist believes they have the skills to continue on their own.

Is the Gottman method effective?
Through the Gottman method, couples can achieve changes that are real and sustainable. This treatment has been used for more than 40 years; the method is supported by empirical research, including randomized controlled trials that have demonstrated effectiveness in improving relationship outcomes for couples. Like any talk therapy, success or failure depends in large part on how committed the clients are to making positive changes and working toward results.
