My clients often feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or loss, and are seeking balance, connection, and relief. Many are navigating life transitions, burnout, or relationship challenges—others are exploring intimacy, sexual health, or identity within the LGBTQ+ community. Some juggle caregiving, work, and emotional exhaustion, unsure where to begin. They’re not just seeking symptom relief—they want deeper self-understanding, stronger relationships, and lasting healing. Together, we create a compassionate, judgment-free space to move from surviving to thriving.

Why can't I just get past this?! Despite the pressure we get to handle things, we're built for community and nurturing. When our childhoods didn't get that (abuse, neglect, sexual assualt, homophobia, etc.) it teaches us specific patterns about what to expect from the world. Learning that pattern helps us shift our system, and often they run deeper than we thought. When we're talking patterns, we can't ignore the larger systemic ones like racism, classism, and heteronormative patriarchy. (Late-stage capitalism can traumatize you as much as your parents.) Let's bring the shame down so you can move forward.

I work with adults and teens who need help with anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma & PTSD, relationship issues, grief, self-esteem, & life transitions. Often when people come to see me, they’ve been struggling for a long time on their own and have been through really painful & difficult experiences in their lives. Many times there is a lot of shame and guilt involved in their situations. People feel stuck or that they’re unable to move forward in life. They are looking for an objective, caring person who can help them understand the underlying causes of their symptoms and give them the tools they need to heal and move forward.

I offer EMDR therapy and EMDR Intensives to help you heal both 'big T' and 'little t' trauma—those moments in your life that still carry emotional charge or feel unresolved and unhealed. Many of the clients I work with come in feeling overwhelmed by symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, addiction and difficulties in relationships, not always realizing how past traumatic experiences may still be impacting them. I believe healing happens in spaces where you feel heard, seen, and accepted. Through deep listening, empathy, and validation, I offer a supportive environment where you can reconnect with yourself and begin to heal.

Attachment-based Therapists
Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.

What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.

How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.

Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
