I’m here for those who are ready to break the patterns that have been passed down for too long—whether that’s emotional baggage, unhealthy relationships, or simply not knowing how to put yourself first. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just know there’s more for you, I’d love to walk with you through that process. It’s not about fixing what’s “wrong,” but about reconnecting with your strength, your voice, & the version of you that’s been waiting to come through. You’re not broken—you’re carrying things that were never yours to begin with. You don’t have to keep holding it all alone.

I usually work with adolescents and their parents to address the barriers within their relationships that are preventing cohesiveness within the family.
I believe that the parents are the medicine to providing their child with the bright future that they deserve. There is no better vehicle for change than a parent's love for their child. I get to come alongside that parent and help them overcome whatever barriers are preventing them from seeing growth in either their child's life or their own. My focus

Searching for a therapist takes courage! And I appreciate the effort involved in acknowledging the need for support. Maybe your healing from personal and/or intergenerational trauma, struggling with making a decision, impacted by your own or someone else's addiction, or working through expectations of who you're supposed to be. All of us sometimes need extra support for ourselves, our family, or our relationship. My work is to support YOU in understanding your internal experiences and find healing. The symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other issues suck, but they don't have to define your life.

I am a certified parent educator through the positive discipline association.
Many people spend years sensing that something feels “off,” yet they function well enough that others don’t notice their strain. I work with adults and teens who have masked their needs, pushed through stress, and built lives that look stable from the outside while feeling confused or exhausted the inside. Many of my clients come in wondering if they might be autistic, ADHD, or both, after years of misdiagnoses, self-doubt, or minimizing their own experiences.

As social beings we long for connection with the people we love most — especially in moments of crisis, when everything feels like it's falling apart; this desire for firm attachment has strong research support. Together, we can explore how to reconnect — with the people who matter most to you, and maybe even with yourself first. We all need to feel truly seen and understood, and when that doesn't happen, it's easy to feel stuck, invisible, or unappreciated. That's where I can help. Sometimes that journey starts by simply meeting yourself where you are right now. Reach out! I'd love to connect with you in Columbia, SC.

My ideal clients are women, especially mothers, who feel overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in a season of transition. Many are balancing the demands of family, relationships, careers, or supporting a child in the performing arts. They come to me seeking clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of self. Through therapy and coaching, I help them reconnect with who they are, identify what they need, and create lives that feel more aligned, intentional, and fulfilling.

Parenting Therapists
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
