The physical and mental health changes that occur with aging are particularly challenging. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance and want you to feel safe to share and explore your life.

Negative self thoughts, trauma, and the fear of stigma can often lead to hiding parts of ourselves. When there is an imbalance between our inner selves and what we present to the world around us, it can cause us to experience feelings of anxiety, depression , guilt and shame. It can feel impossible to imagine a life that isn't overshadowed by these feelings. My goal is to assist you in your journey toward becoming self empowered to address the barriers that have held you back for so long from living as your authentic self.

Life is constantly changing & pressing on us, leading to stress, and calling for our growth. Rather than looking for acceptance or healing from others, it's important to look inward. This understanding of who we are & how we operate eases stress & peaceful life transitions. Science verifies that changing our thinking, feeling & behaviors improves the quality of our life. I specialize in connecting people deeply with themselves, decreasing suffering from anxiety, depression , family/relational conflict, grief, chronic pain, panic attacks, low self-esteem and work/school burdens.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
