Hello, I'm Sayo Matsuda, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in CA. I am going to see you via telehealth. My specialties are adolescents, adults with anxiety, depression, stress, behavioral problems, relational problems, and communication problems. I have worked with various populations in Los Angeles, CA. I learned a lot from my former clients in regard to their cultural beliefs and views of mental health. My clinical experience working with different populations, will help me to understand you better. I utilize DBT (Dialectic Behavioral Therapy), I am certified in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Seeking Safety, IPT (Interpersonal Therapy), and Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) to work with a family, parent(s) and individual clients.
My first name was given by my grandmother. In writing with Chinese character, my name means "A person who support the world by left side"- I think I became a person to support people. I don't think I am supporting the whole world, but I am supporting some areas of the world.
