My ideal client wants to be engaged during therapy. My clients come prepared to do heavy work that is necessary to heal and move on from their issues. I expect accountability, transparency, a willingness to do homework, and be vulnerable during sessions. I employ a diverse approach to psychology that is specifically tailored to each person. Overall, this takes the shape of mindfulness cognitive behavior therapy. This feminist-queer lens includes your intersectional identity, personal goals, individual growth speed, identity, religious background, ethnicity, race, sexuality, gender, social economic status, and social stratification.
I've professionally studied & taught gender diversity for over 27 years. I’ve potentially educated millions of Americans through television, radio interviews, podcasts, conferences, and workshops. My clients often have multicultural backgrounds that include gender issues, domestic violence, neurodiversity, trauma, addiction, anxiety and depression.
I am one of the few mental health clinicians in the USA that has a master’s degree in the psychology of gender diversity. Currently I'm writing my double dissertation at NCU & NU and my research topic is in gender and sexual fluidity. I also have 30+ years’ experience being employed on the board of directors working with various LGBTQIA+ 501c3 nonprofits.
