Hello Folks. My name is Sav (they/them) and I am a gender non-conforming, queer, trans-masc, and white therapist. My personal identities greatly influence the lens of which I engage in a therapeutic relationship with the people that I serve. My therapeutic interests include working with individuals in the LGBTQIA2S+ community, anger processing, trauma work, intergenerational dynamics, and interpersonal relationship dynamics. I strongly believe in taking an anti-racist, decolonizing, culturally competent, and gender-affirming approach to therapy.
Within the therapeutic space, I strive to help individuals find new perspectives and expand their ways of thinking, better understand, set, and uphold appropriate boundaries, and feel affirmed in their identities. I use interpersonal techniques from a trauma informed and strength based approach to help each individual make progress towards their goals.
I believe that feeling seen and heard is incredibly powerful and I aim to provide that for those that I work with.
