Starting therapy can be scary, especially if you come from a culture that encourages hiding or diminishing your feelings in an effort to appear strong. My own therapy journey has taught me that your emotions don't make you weak, but in fact, just make you human. My hope is to help you build a welcoming relationship with your emotions, and embrace all the parts that make you the beautiful and unique person you are.
I take a client-centered and culturally-competent approach, incorporating mindfulness, acceptance, and tuning into your body to process emotions. I also incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS). I hope to guide you in practicing compassion towards yourself, getting out of your own head, and being present.
I value supporting BIPOC and queer communities, and I enjoy working with individuals dedicated to building a therapeutic relationship. It’s important to create a safe and welcoming environment where you can talk freely. Together we will work towards empowerment and self-love, as you learn more about yourself and what matters to you.
