Hello and welcome to my profile. Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing something broken with a lacquer of precious metals like gold or silver. I like to think of this beautiful restorative art as a metaphor for the work clients do when they come together to heal themselves and restore their relationships with one another. Returning to graduate school as an older adult, I find that my years of life experience have enhanced my studies and work as a therapist. I am currently an LAMFT at Tucson Lasting Connections, supervised by Stephanie Neidermyer, LMFT.
I work with individuals, couples, and families from a systemic, client-centered, and strengths-based perspective. I am particularly passionate about understanding the effects and treatments of trauma, studying cultural humility, and working with underserved populations in the Tucson area.
I focus on holding a gentle and safe place for clients to creatively explore their relationships with themselves and others while encouraging personal growth in meaningful and effective ways. It is my belief that compassionate self-awareness and healing go hand-in-hand, and I am honored to assist on the path toward restoration and well-being.
