Using EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work, we will address trauma and its impacts on your life and relationships. I specialize in treating trauma -sexual assault and abuse, relationship/narcissistic abuse recovery, postpartum depression and anxiety, perinatal issues (including infertility, pregnancy loss, and pregnancy/birth trauma), and the effects of complex childhood abuse and attachment wounds. I am EMDR-certified and certified in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) with over 30 years of therapy experience with a bachelors from Washington and Lee and Ph.D. From University of North Carolina.
My approach integrates EMDR with Internal Family Systems parts work, cognitive behavioral therapy, and attachment style. This means we don’t just talk about what’s happening now. We will process past experiences, understand the different “parts” of you that show up, and build practical tools for change. I also include psychoeducation -it’s empowering!
