Sarah earned her Master of Arts in Counseling at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a certificate in Play Therapy. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies at the same institution, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Sarah has experience counseling a range of issues, including child abuse, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, self-esteem, and trauma. She is passionate about helping her clients find freedom and empowerment in acceptance and authenticity of self.
Sarah believes in the efficacy of a person-centered approach to treatment, which acknowledges both the client’s inherent bent towards positive growth and their role as the expert on their unique lived experience.
