Welcome to Skoog Healing & Mental Health Solutions, PLLC! I am Dr. Sarah Skoog, PhD, LPC-S, Owner and Licensed Professional Counselor. I want to help you address the obstacles in your life that are keeping you from living life at your full potential. I use what is called an integrative therapeutic approach to therapy, and I am first and foremost a client-centered therapist. I focus on YOUR needs, goals and objectives in therapy. I know this is hard, I’ve been there! I will do it with you. I strongly believe that every individual deserves quality mental health care, respect, empathy and compassion! I often use a human developmental approach to therapy, meaning I focus on your reports of experiences, and I look for the developmental patterns of the issues to get to the root of the problem. I do not believe in providing “bandaids”, because I’d rather help you find the core of the issue. THEN things really start to grow and change.
Every client is unique, and every problem is important. Every solution is different, and yet somehow we all are here together. Life is interesting, messy, difficult and joyous. In our current culture, having a therapist is a very positive thing. Let’s come together and talk and see what is next!
