An ideal client for me is someone who wants to work towards change but may need some gentle guidance. There is no one right way to journey through life, and I strongly believe that human connection and empathy help people learn to understand themselves and their needs better. I don't like to consider mental health challenges "issues" or "illnesses," but instead, a way of being that shapes how we interact with the world and people around us. Ideally, clients will want to learn how to reach larger goals to be their best self and prioritize their needs and feelings by learning healthy coping mechanisms and communication styles.
I offer a blend of professional training and humanness to provide therapy through modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Non-Violent Communication while using a trauma-informed and person-centered approach. Therapy is a partnership that we can navigate together.
