Well, hey there! I love working with motivated clients who have a sense of humor, and who are willing to take action steps towards their goals. I love being able to tailor to client's individual needs, whether it's processing and understanding family of origin issues, problem-solving through daily stressors, or providing space to process trauma. My clients want to understand how to improve their relationships, build healthier beliefs that suit them, and see the therapeutic relationship as a tool in and of itself.
I have been working in the behavioral health field for 15 years (11 as a therapist) with adults, teens, military members, veterans, and seniors, both in hospital and outpatient settings. I am formally trained in EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and consider myself a specialist in treating trauma-related disorders.
I consider myself the same person inside and outside of sessions. What you see is who I am in real life: Laid-back, bringing humor and pop culture references into session, and I genuinely care about people. We all suffer through difficulties, and we shouldn't have to do it alone.
