Throughout my life, I have found people to be fascinating as each person has unique stories, values, and beliefs that guide their life. This curiosity of people combined with the belief that each person has intrinsic value and worth led me to the field of counseling. Through using collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches, I hope to facilitate a healing space where clients can learn how to care for themselves holistically, pursue personal goals, and address mental health concerns, all while feeling accepted for who they are as a person.
Sarah received a Masters in Counseling from Appalachian State University, where she also received a certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy. Sarah enjoys using Expressive Arts to facilitate a deeper understanding of emotions and emotional regulation. Sarah also uses a collaborative approach to create goals, plans and discussion that best help the client.
Sarah completed her clinical internship experience at Appalachian State University’s counseling center and has also worked with kids during a play therapy training course. She has a passion for working with clients who are working through anxiety and currently works with clients ages 10+. Please reach out for a free consultation today!
