My name is Sarah Richards, and I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC).
I specialize in helping adults struggling with OCD and anxiety. Many of my clients feel stuck in cycles of worry, intrusive thoughts, or compulsive behaviors. With specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)—the gold-standard treatment for OCD—I provide structured, evidence-based care to help clients face fears, reduce anxiety, and reclaim their lives.
I also work with clients experiencing depression, PTSD, relationship distress, life transitions using evidence-based approaches.
In our first few sessions, you can expect a supportive space to clarify your goals, build trust, and develop an individualized plan.
My practice, The Mindful Approach, is unique because I combine proven research-based strategies with mindfulness and compassion. Clients often appreciate the balance of practical tools and a warm, down-to-earth style.
I am passionate about this work because I have seen how therapy helps people discover resilience they didn’t know they had, and move toward greater peace.
Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, or OCD take hold. You don’t have to face it alone—together we’ll create a safe space to build skills, find relief, and move toward lasting change.
