About
Hey stepmoms and stepdads, I’m a counselor here for you. Regardless of what people wish were the case, or think “should” be the case, the reality is being a stepparent IS different and with it comes unique challenges and frustrations, and unexpected advantages too. I am here to help you walk through the unique emotions that stepparents often report experiencing: isolation, grief, feeling misunderstood, feeling like a stranger in their own home, and feeling invisible. We can navigate some tricky family situations together so that you have a greater sense of peace and belonging in your family and in your home.
If you are considering marrying someone with children from a previous relationship I can offer premarital counseling for both of you or just you to ensure that you have the greatest chance of a happy marriage and help you navigate potential pitfalls of blended families before they start.
Whatever your blended family issue is, I can help in practical ways, and we will work together on what is important to you. We will work on your goals and this is a place where you can feel seen and heard. You are not alone. Please reach out today.
