Additionally, I am passionate about providing support for anyone who has worked in the veterinary industry, or loves pets. This unique profession can have many effects on the mental health and lifestyle of its practitioners, with unique stressors and complex systems, the nuances of which may be tricky to communicate about and navigate for a mental health practitioner unfamiliar with the industry.
I've been in vet med for 10 years, including as a vet tech. I know the associated complexities, and am passionate about providing crisis intervention, grief support, and overall mental health support to prevent the suicide of our practitioners. My experience includes grief and emotional support for those who may soon or have lost their beloved pets.
For everyone, and in particular the veterinary community - I am here for you. I understand the burdens and stressors associated with falling in love with a profession that may be problematic. I deeply empathize with job-related stressors, and wish to support and alleviate the suffering of anyone who is in pain.
