I work with adult and older teen clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, addictions (to substances and/or compulsive behaviors) and who are recovering from traumatic experiences. I believe that your natural self underlies any issues you may bring to therapy, and that our job as we work together is to help you rediscover and live from that natural, free, and open-hearted self.
To facilitate this process of self-discovery, I use mindfulness-based therapies and EMDR. Mindfulness is about being awake and aware and self-compassionate in the present moment, which is where you can learn about your sensations, thoughts, and feelings, offer yourself kindness, and find your power to make choices.
Seeking therapy can be intimidating, but I make it as warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental a process as I possibly can! If you'd like to discuss working together, please visit my website to set up a phone consultation at your convenience.
