I'm a counselor in NC and SC with 8 years of experience. I started my career working with people with disabilities in a college. It taught me flexibility to help with diverse needs. People often separate mental/physical health, families/relationships, and careers. Yet, all of this plays part in our life satisfaction. When I transitioned to providing therapy, I gained experience working with trauma. I saw many people were unaware that past events were affecting their lives. I grew passionate about helping people recognize trauma responses and reduce symptoms. My specialties include trauma, depression, and anxiety disorders.
Through the counseling journey, we will find your strengths and build on them. I use a blend of therapy techniques to help you learn skills to address your symptoms and I will teach you why they work! I'm interactive, so that sessions feel like a conversation, instead of a one-way street. The counseling journey will be flexible to meet your needs and goals.
As your therapist, I will ensure that you feel accepted as you open your life up to me. I will provide a counseling atmosphere that is professional, but down to earth.
