Announcement icon I am accepting new clients and holding sessions via phone or video call. When safe to do so I will offer office and/or outdoor sessions.
I am a licensed counselor and certified music therapist specializing in caregiver stress, parenting and pregnancy, grief and loss, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression. I offer psychotherapy (talk therapy), music therapy, or a combination. I believe in your capacity to unpack and process challenging aspects of your life to become more grounded, content and fulfilled. My goal is to provide a safe space for you to unpack and process at a pace that feels right for you. In sessions I focus first on listening and then offer ideas and feedback, share stories, and teach skills that I think may be helpful.
You may wish you incorporate music therapy in your sessions, and it is always your choice. In it's simplest form music therapy is finding ways to use music (listening, playing, writing, discussing) to achieve therapy goals. No music playing or performing experience is necessary. We may simply listen to a song that moves or inspires you and talk about why.
I believe good therapy starts with good listening and a caring heart and that is what I aim to bring to my sessions. Having a non-judgemental and caring person in your corner can make all the difference. The fact that you are on this site reading profiles says something important about you, you are on the path and reaching outward, embracing possibility.
