Dr. Sarah Muñoz is a Licensed Psychologist with 15 years of counseling experience in educational and community settings. She attended Hofstra University in Long Island, NY for her graduate training, and has worked in university, primary/secondary school and community mental health clinic settings since that time. Dr. Muñoz has worked extensively with adolescents, adults, and families presenting with a wide variety of mental health concerns. She is a strong advocate of all aspects of positive psychology, including mindfulness and health psychology, and believes that life enrichment is an integral part of the therapeutic process.
Dr. Muñoz ascribes to a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy orientation, but also regularly incorporates strategies from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, and solution-focused therapy to support clients make adaptive choices and increase life satisfaction.
