It's hard to be your authentic self when everyone around you invalidates your thoughts and feelings, questioning or telling you what to do and how to feel. To keep the peace you've probably tried all sorts of ways to please these people, yet you never really seem to gain their acceptance. You still feel judged and in addition you're feeling more and more distant from who you really are, assuming you even know what that is anymore. I believe we really do have the answers inside of us, if only we'd stop seeking external permission from others. I can help you tap into your authentic self, set boundaries, and live a value focused life.
I specialize in working with teens and young adults with a focus on developing a sense of self, life transitions, and anxiety/depression. Using a trauma-focused approach I work to meet you where you are at, help you develop ways to cope, and accompany you in exploring your deeper self, so that you can live more authentically and purposefully.
Unlike other providers, I work in an art studio and encourage clients to use art making within session. My space is cozy and colorful and feels more like home than a medical practice.
