My practice centers on working with adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma or a traumatic experience, self-harm or harm to others. I welcome the opportunity to join individuals on their journey through exploration of the various facets of identity including gender expression, gender identity, and sexuality. Themes around patterns, boundaries, consent, mind body connection, understanding life transitions, relationships, family dynamics and stressors will play a key role in our work together.
In the therapeutic space, I incorporate psychodynamic, relational, and systems-oriented frameworks. Early childhood experiences shape how we move about the world today and how our identities form the basis of understanding of our internal and external world. I have additional training in Emotional Focused Therapy and am currently training in EMDR therapy.
My intention is to show up and be present in an authentic and genuine way in order to get to know you as a full person. We will work collaboratively to build trust with one another so that you can safely explore feelings and experiences. While therapy can be challenging, we will also find moments to laugh, be silly, and enjoy ourselves!
