With 10 years of experience working with all ages, I specialize in anxiety, depression, codependency, trauma, divorce, perfectionism, relationship issues, self-esteem, aging, women’s issues and life transitions. I particularly enjoy individuals who are open-minded, motivated, and willing to do the work while trusting the therapeutic process. It is so important to be willing to try new things by venturing out of your comfort zone during our time together. By not having to rely strictly on medication to mask your issues, therapy teaches you to cope with life’s struggles, and thus change your fearful view of the world.
After several years of helping others I find CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, reality therapy, behavioral therapy, motivational therapy, feministic therapy, and of course humor to be very effective in treating most issues. I also focus on strength and skill building, mindfulness, role playing, and relapse prevention.
I work with all ages (18 yrs & up), ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds and LGBTQIA+ community. I strive to aid my clients in building confidence in who they are and what they are truly capable of, restoring a sense of self. I offer a nonjudgmental stance; empathy is vital for success within my practice. This is not merely a job for me, it is my purpose.
