My primary goal as your therapist is to create a safe space for you to express yourself openly and authentically, as I believe healing happens through connection. In addition to a range of therapeutic modalities, I promise to bring warmth, humor, and the occasional anecdote or metaphor, often nature related. For some, therapy is an opportunity to problem-solve a current challenge, and for others it's a chance to gain a better understanding of themselves and the experiences that brought them to where they are. Whatever your reason, I would love to partner with you in meeting your goals.
I utilize a range of modalities depending on clients' specific needs. I use a trauma-informed approach and have advanced training in EMDR, solution-focused brief therapy, LGBTQ affirming therapy, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD). I am also trained in the Gender Asset, a tool for providing evaluations needed for gender affirming medical care.
You deserve a therapy space in which you can show up authentically. Specifically for LGBTQIA clients, therapy should be a place in which you don’t have to explain or defend your sexuality or relationship styles, worry about being misgendered, or feel unaffirmed in your identity.
