I believe in the inherent worth of every person and that part of being human is experiencing struggles, setbacks, and difficulties. At times we are able to navigate these challenges on our own but other times we need additional support to gain new skills, be reminded of the strength we already have, and most importantly have a nonjudgmental space to talk things through. My areas of clinical experience include working with adults with concerns of trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions/stressors, and substance use disorders (including supporting people who have a loved one struggling with substance use).
I am particularly passionate about working with people who have experienced trauma and have specialized training to be able to offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. I utilize various modalities in addition to EMDR including CBT, strength based, relational, and harm reduction.
My therapeutic style is strength based, focused on respect, and providing a safe, relaxed, and judgment free space for a person to tap into their innate strengths to guide their own healing. I am honored to do the work I do and walk alongside people as they heal and move forward in their lives.
