Lets find your authentic self. I help clients express themselves; to deeply understand themselves so they can connect with others. I work with individuals and couples that are experiencing a transition, feeling distant, or are ready to shift in a new direction. My clients often feel alone despite being surrounded by people, like they are floating through life or lost in a big transition, that they are ready to heal, but are stuck in the same negative patterns. Many come to therapy with guilt at their inability to be the kind of partner, parent or child they always wanted to be, or have a sense that something just isn't right.
In my sessions I use imagery, metaphor, writing, artwork or simply talking. Clients report quick progress with my warm, direct and in-depth approach, including greater self-compassion, deeper awareness about relational patterns and hidden parts of themselves, in addition to concrete skills to manage emotions and relationships in the moment.
I have a unique training of Marriage and Family Therapy, and Art Therapy. Outside of my work I am a wife, mother, compassionate community member, RPCV, spiritually aligned Quaker, and international traveler. I started my career in NYC after attending Pratt institute, and have practiced in both West and North Africa before making a home in Charlotte NC.
