About
Whether you’re struggling with an eating disorder, chronic dieting, an emotional "nourishment barrier," or simply the challenges of staying sane in an eating-disordered culture, you deserve a nonjudgmental space to dismantle the BS and come home to the sacred process of nourishing your mind, body, and soul. I believe that even in the midst of immense suffering you possess inherent health and wisdom. Together, we'll explore all this and more in an atmosphere of unconditional acceptance, kindness, and even humor.
With a background in trauma-sensitive yoga, intuitive eating, and clinical eating disorder treatment, my non-pathologizing approach emphasizes embodiment, non-deprivation, everyday mindfulness, and self-compassion. My practice is informed by Health at Every Size (HAES), a commitment to social justice, and over 20 years in the expressive and performing arts.
I believe that the relationship between client and therapist is the most important factor in psychotherapy, so I hope you feel empowered to shop around for the right fit. To that end, please reach out if you’d like to schedule a no-cost phone consultation so we can get to know one another.
