About
I am a pediatric neuropsychologist, and a licensed psychologist in Maryland, and in Oklahoma. Therapeutically, I work with individuals across the life-span (children and adults). I have experience working with a vast array of client issues including: grief, stress management, anxiety, depression, life issues, compulsions and obsessions, and an umbrella of sexual issues (including voyeurism, exhibitionism, pedophilia, sexuality and issues having sex, and more), neurodevelopmental disorders (autism), and trauma.
My two areas of intensive specialization are in autism and in trauma treatment. Formally trained at the VA to provide effective care to veterans, I can provide CPT (12-15 session therapy) for most trauma experiences. I love working with autism and helping kids and adults better understand social norms and work through other issues.
Trained in choice theory and reality therapy, I typically provide counseling services that are more direct. Although past family experiences may come up in therapy, the past is not the focus. Cognitive behavioral therapy is also utilized with a humanistic perspective. I am a collaborative therapist - we make decisions together about your treatment.
