Announcement: I have moved to a new office effective April 1, 2025. I believe that you are the expert on your own experience. One of my goals is that the main benefit you, or your child, gains from therapy is that you become increasingly self-aware of your own strengths and how they can best serve you to overcome whatever you are facing. Although you or your family may be experiencing intense challenges, and you're not sure what the next step should be, you have also somehow made it to today, and that proof of strength should never be ignored. I would love to join with you in your next steps, one step at a time.
My specialty is children 10 and younger managing anxiety, depression, adjustment to major life transitions, abuse and neglect, behavioral difficulties at school and/or at home, ADHD, grief and loss, and helping families navigate our complex public school system and how to be the best advocate for your child. I use Child Centered Play Therapy.
I also offer Child Parent Relationship Therapy training which is a 10 week parent group aimed at teaching the same play therapy skills to parents that I use in individual sessions and translating those skills into everyday parenting scenarios. This program gives you a framework for parenting and increases your insight into your child's experience.

Child Parent Relationship Therapy is a 10 session therapeutic parenting skills groups for parents with children age 10 and younger. In 10 weeks you will learn how to regain control as a parent, help your child develop self-control, effectively discipline and limit inappropriate behavior, understand your child's emotional needs, while communicating more effectively with your child. Groups are being formed as I receive interest. Schedule TBD based on those registered. $60 for initial parent consultation and to discuss details and expectations and $60 weekly for the 10 weeks. The Parent Support Team is held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month from 12p-1p. The first time is free to come check it out, subsequent meetings are $30, less than a specialist co-pay. This group is appropriate for parents of children 10 and under to normalize the challenges of parenting, get feedback from a specialist, continue to build on skills after your child graduates therapy and/or come to get more insight on whether your child may benefit from individual therapy.
