I’m Sarah Israel, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in mental health and social services. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, attachment, mood disorders, personality disorders, life transitions, and the complexities of adoption and foster care. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with children, adults, and families in home, inpatient, outpatient, and school settings. I’ve also directed clinical teams, trained others in crisis intervention, and led classes focused on understanding the impacts of abuse, trauma, attachment, and parenting.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. My approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual I work with, drawing from a range of techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, systems theory, and trauma-informed care.
I believe we all face struggles in life, but I also believe in the inner strength and resilience we each have to overcome difficulties and grow.
