When was the last time someone deeply listened to you? All you want is to find a sense of peace and balance. You want to be able to do "normal" things and react to "normal" challenges in a way that makes you feel like they are not crazy. I'm here to tell you that you are *not* crazy! I want to help you build your ability to cope, so you can re-connect with your friends and family. You are not screaming into the void anymore - I am here to listen to you and walk with you along your journey.

My clients find me non-judgmental, warm, and caring. I am able to hold a client's story, no matter how scary, with great respect and empathy. I especially enjoy working with women: teens, young adults, and mothers; families impacted by trauma; and those struggling to maintain healthy, satisfying relationships.

Are you ready for things to change? I am a member of a group therapy practice, Bay Area Mental Health. We can provide you with the best match for helping you achieve your goals. Evening and weekend appointments are available. Call or email me for a consultation and to get started.

Managing Emotions with DBT

It sometimes feels like your emotions are "running the show" and your friends and family just don't understand. You may be a highly sensitive person (HSP) and if so, then DBT is for you. DBT was developed to help highly sensitive people who struggle with overwhelming emotions. 50 years of research has shown DBT to be effective with many problems, including borderline personality disorder, depression, PTSD, bipolar, relationship issues, overwhelm and self care. Groups meet once a week for 2 hours and phone support is available between sessions.
