While I meet with a wide variety of clients, the majority of my caseload supports adult individuals and couples who identify as queer, geeks, gamers, and/or tech professionals. Though geek therapy is my specialty, I do not only seek geek clientele. My interest is to empower and support my clients - to work together and personalize their therapy to suit them individually. I work to provide a safe and productive space for clients to overcome adversity, and care deeply about understanding each person's diversity in identity and presence. I strive to remain open to and aware of my biases - including my privilege, identities, and beliefs
In my practice, I most frequently use techniques such as feminist therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solutions-focused therapy. I am passionate about understanding individuals' intersectional identities and how to help them to live fully.
I am creative in selecting my interventions and consider no single therapy technique useful for every person. My style is direct and I like to explain concepts by using contextual examples. I am open, flexible, and empowering.
