You are not the problems you are dealing with. The fundamental belief that guides my practice as a psychotherapist is that all of us are worthy, lovable and creative beings capable of thriving and sustaining meaningful relationships. But there are times when we may lose sight of that. I acknowledge the weight of systemic racism, sexism, homophobia and all other oppressions, and their tremendous impact on mental health. I believe that healing and liberation can take place when we acknowledge oppression and see our true selves as separate from it. I strive to do this in my practice.
I work with individuals, couples and families. I particularly enjoy working with teens and young adults experiencing depression, anxiety, eating disorders and trauma. I have extensive experience in trauma-informed care. As a registered art therapist, I offer an alternative language for people in moments when words do not suffice.
