There is power in uncovering and looking more closely at what may be causing stress or strain in our current life. Working through these concerns with another can increase personal growth and foster well-being and resilience.
My core beliefs are grounded in social justice: examining my privileges w/a goal of being an active participant in dismantling white supremacy, disability as diversity, and that we all move through the world with our own unique identities and perspectives. Formerly an ASL interpreter, I humbled to have worked within the Deaf/HH community for many years.
You are not alone in this journey. I approach my work with individual clients from a person centered, strengths-based perspective, incorporating CBT, DBT, MI, ACT, and Trauma informed approaches. I strive to create a safe space for clients to explore and address challenges, work towards healing and increase coping skills and reduce distress.
