Hi there, I’m Sarah! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor that is passionate about supporting clients in healing from trauma and life stressors through providing a warm and supportive therapeutic experience. My approach is client-centered, meaning that I strive to provide unconditional positive regard, empathy, and openness to whatever you as the client might bring to therapy. I also heavily incorporate attachment theory into my work, focusing on attachment styles and how these influence us throughout our lifespan.
My goal is to ensure that you feel seen and heard in therapy, as well as being able to leave session with tools that you can use to help cope with and manage symptoms. I enjoy using a collaborative approach with individuals to make sure that they are getting the most out of our time together, including asking for feedback about how they feel therapy is going
I will often ask clients "If therapy was working, how would you know? What would look/feel different?" This helps to start a conversation about specific therapy goals and what an individual is looking to get out of their time with me.
