I offer over twenty years experience as a therapist and have spent the entirety of those twenty years working with individuals who have experienced one or more traumatic events. I prioritize developing a relationship with my clients, since it is the most important aspect of therapy. Finding a trusting person to share in the devastation that often comes with trauma is the first obstacle survivors tackle. In addition, someone who knows and understands how trauma affects individuals differently is secondary and equally important.
In addition to my vast training and experience working with trauma, I also specialize in helping individuals, couples and families who are dealing with the everyday challenges of life, such as grief, relationship struggles, anxiety and depression. I would be honored to partner and help individuals facing these types of challenges.
I use an eclectic approach with cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy and EMDR when appropriate. I am also trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
