If I had to describe the core tenants of how I work it would be: we are all doing our best AND we all have hidden resources that can help us heal and make changes we choose to make. The resources can be blocked by traumatic events that have happened in our lives, hurt and loss, and never learning the skills we need to grow or getting the support we need to do so. I can provide a safe and supportive space to help you access your core sense of self and build the kind of life that feels meaningful.
What I have to offer is this: connection (an authentic relationship built on collaboration), skills to help regulate emotions and build healthy relationships (I pull on my training in DBT and RO DBT), and inner exploration (here I draw largely from a model called Internal Family Systems, or IFS, to explore and understand conflicting goals and emotions).
I know from personal experience that it is easy to get lost, stuck, and overwhelmed when faced with the complexities of being human. Let's face it: things are tough right now. And relying on sheer will sometimes isn't enough. We should not have to struggle alone, and my passion is supporting you on your journey to find greater ease and joy in your life.
